I've added a new gadget to the right that will show my latest pictures on my flickr site. The latest one are from our last trip to the dog park on Sunday.
We had a good time until "Buddy" showed up. Really though I blame the owner, not the dog. He was this big, and I mean big, old Chocolate Lab. In his apparently long years on this earth he has not realized that little dogs are not chew toys placed in the dog park for his personal amusement. His owner, realizing that he could be obnoxious, even had a radio shock collar on him. Instead of using this time to try to teach "Buddy" how to behave, and I don't mean by shocking him, she chose to socialize with the other dog owners there and let "Buddy" run around and torment every little dog in the park. Normally, the big dogs and small dogs are seperated into two different fenced in areas, but the park has been renovating the small dog area so it is closed for now.
We were a little hesitant to take our dogs in with the Dobermans, Rotties, and German Shepards, but after doing it a few times we have had no problems at all....until "Buddy".

What to do
When your race boat breaks down in the middle of the lake????
You send out a cheap on attatched to a fishing pole,
tangle it up, and haul it back in.
Or, you realize that you do not have enough fishing line
and wait for it to drift to shore.
Being that it is never windy here in Vegas, that could take a while.....
And then there was Maggie

At least I think that was here name.
A very odd looking Springer Spaniel if you ask me.
Just a little baby doll though about 6 months old.
Shecouldn't figure out how to get up on the table with the
treats we brought. Being a puppy and all, she was still a bit clumsy.
She did eventually figure it out though, and she looked so proud.
The Doggie Park

The dog above is a Great dane. He is huge.
He stands over 6 foot tall on his hind legs. When
Karen went to pet him, he looked up and hit
Karen in the head(un intentionally) and almost
knocked her over, knocking herglasses off.
He, of course, was a big 'ole baby!
When we got to the park there was a family of 8 toy
Poodles there.
Shortly after that 3 Char Peis showed up. I thought 1 was
a Pit Bull because he wasn't all THAT wrinkled, but
alas he was not.

Dog Fancies Park
We took Pooh and Tigger to the Clark County Dog Fanciers Park this morning. They had a good time there. Pooh and Tigger met a few friends there and so did we.
After a few mins a lady named Nancy showed up with her two English Springer Saniel brothers, one of wich can be seen in the picture below by the tree.
Although there were a few tense moments at first, and a small fight that earned Tigger a time out, they all got allong well. Tigger seems to be tho one that always starts the fights. He will wait until Pooh is checking out the dog and then come up and try to get Pooh to double team the other dog. After Tiggers time out though, they all played well. Alittle while latter a lady named Rose showed up with her female Datshound/Terrier mix named Leia from the Star Wars movie. This dog made Pooh look like a doggie gymnast! All of the people and thier owners(the dogs) were very nice. We are glad to be getting out and meeting some people. The dog parks are a perfect place for that as both of us love animals. Leia was kind of funny because she would go retrieve a tennis ball, only if her person didn't throw it. When Rose would thow the ball, Leia would just look at her. If Karen threw it she took off after it.
