Karen

gets to take her test for the Post Office tomorrow! I'm sure she will do fine on it and hopefully get her foot in the door there. It would be a great job. I'm already planning my retirement.....hahaha. We will be having some guests in May which will be nice. Its always good to see familiar faces again.

We are also hoping to have some more guests in April, but a this point that is up in the air.

One of the critisisms I often read about Vegas before moving here was about the lack of parks and recreation activities in and around the city. This has really turned out to not be true. There are parks all over Vegas. Big ones, little ones, nice one, not so nice ones. There are probably 7 within 10 miles of my house. There are dog parks all over the place. Not to mention all of the state and federal parks around. It could take you years to visit all of them.

Google Map

This is where I went today.

Without

a doubt, the ugliest buliding in Vegas. It looks like a flying
saucer is impaled on two high raise buildings.

A look at the Palazzo.

The newest casino in Vegas. It just opened about a week or so ago.
While it was indeed nice, like the Wynn, it was just a bit too
rich for me. I still prefer the New York New York.

Carley has

trained me well. She knows all the has to do is bat her eyes
at me and let out one of her little "I'm here" welps and she
generally gets what ever she wants. Resistance is futile!

Road Trip

Just a little exploring. Headed out south on US 93/95 towards
Boulder City and the Hoover Dam. This place was up in the
foothills to the mountains. Looked to me like, among other uses,
was a paint ball place. Ofcourse there were lots of beer cans
and such around. Lots of taget practice going on too. Not sure
what the original use was though.

A Team effort

Everyone got in the act trying to keep the little one's attention
long enough for a picture!

Spring has sprung

here in Las Vegas. Our lowes are quickly raising and its nice. Today we will likely hit 70F as my friends and family back in Michigan are, well lets just say its COLD there. Thier low last night was about -1F and I think it is about 3F there right now.

My My how the primaries have changed since I last wrote about them. Romney is out but I didn't like him anyways, Huckabee and Paul are going no where. That leaves McCain. I guess out of all of them I dislike him the least. Thats something I guess.

Obama and Clinton are fighting on. I saw parts of Obama and Clintons speaches the other night. I must say that Obama is or has turned into quite the good speaker. Very powerful. I don't agree with 95% of what says, but compared to Clinton he is much, much better.

Really?

They needed a study to figure this out? Toddlers throw tantrums. Thats thier job! or part of it at least. Anyone who's had a toddler could tell you that. I would submit that it is part of them learning thier boundries in life as they have learned to walk and talk by then. This process has gone on for thousands of years and has worked just fine. If it isn't broken, don't FIX it!
